THE PROPOSAL
“Nate asked me out on a dinner date, which was nothing out of the ordinary. We were both busy all day running errands, so I didn’t see him until he picked me up for our date. Looking back, he definitely seemed nervous, but at the time I didn’t think anything of it,” Kyla reflected. “We park downtown, and he says, ‘Let’s go grab a drink before dinner.’ So we start walking to this bar, and on the way, he stops in front of these beautiful decorations and gets down on one knee. His sister was nearby taking pictures. I was so shocked I didn’t think he was being serious until I saw the ring. It was the perfect proposal. He had all our family downtown to celebrate with us and take pictures. Then we went and had dinner, where there was champagne and roses waiting for us.”
THE DETAILS
First dance: “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait
“My favorite part of our wedding was our first touch, where we read our vows privately back-to-back,” Kyla said. “This moment was so special, and I really loved how intimate and private it was.”
“A special detail was having a toast with the same champagne glasses my grandparents used on their wedding day,” Kyla said.
“So many friends and family traveled to celebrate our special day with us,” Kyla said. “We felt so loved and blessed to be supported by so many people.”
