Junior League of Texarkana hosted its Spring Into Reading program on March 15 at Union Elementary School. The program promotes literacy by encouraging school-aged children to develop a greater interest in reading. Over 300 students enjoyed a “Spring Into Reading” pep rally, motivational speeches from coaches and athletes who also revealed their favorite books, and reading with Junior League volunteers and students from area high schools.
