Women for the Arts hosted the 18th annual Party with Picassos on March 24 at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center. The event featured a celebrity art auction of works by the unlikeliest of artists (“celebrity”) banker, lawyer, doctor, dentists, educators, entrepreneurs, businessmen and women. These individuals were paired with professional artists, acting as coaches, to create original works of art.
Musical entertainment feature d 2Pianos, Josh Lawrence and Dr. Paul Whitt. This year’s signature artist was Tyler Arnold. The Mary Jane Orr Awards were presented to Mary Ellen Young (paired with Dr. Paul Whitt), Dr. Bob Fry (paired with Jeannie Knod), and Jared Horton (paired with Jerome LeGrand).
